This program funds projects that promote and strengthen the domestic maple syrup industry in the United States. Eligible activities include research and education related to maple syrup production, market development and promotion, natural resource sustainability, and initiatives to increase access to or expand maple-sugaring activities on privately held land containing species of the genus Acer (maple). Projects must have regional or national impact and demonstrate potential to increase maple-sugaring activities or production.
