--- ## Description This grant supports original research focused on developing novel cell and gene therapy approaches for pancreatic cancer, a disease with limited treatment options and high mortality. The program seeks projects that address the unique challenges of pancreatic tumors, such as the immunosuppressive microenvironment, poor cell trafficking, and tumor heterogeneity. Key research areas include: reversing tumor immune suppression, improving immune cell delivery and infiltration, targeting specific immune or stromal cell populations, advancing synthetic and engineered T-cell therapies (including CAR/CAR-T), exploring under-studied immune cell types, and combining cell/gene therapy with other immunotherapies.
