Description
This grant provides one-time emergency funding of $25,000 to a faculty member (Principal Investigator) at a U.S.-based higher education institution who lost research funding after October 1, 2024. The purpose is to support graduate students (M.S. or Ph.D.) in the chemical sciences who are within one year of completing their degree but whose progress is threatened by the loss of research support. The grant aims to ensure that promising students can finish their training and transition into the workforce, preserving the strength of the U.S. scientific community. In addition to financial support, recipients gain access to ACS career development resources and a complimentary ACS membership for the supported students.
