    Description

The ACS Postdoctoral Fellowship in Quantum Systems is a new initiative from the American Chemical Society, in partnership with the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation’s EPiQS initiative. The program is designed to support outstanding postdoctoral researchers working in quantum materials and quantum systems who face financial challenges or unexpected disruptions in their appointments or career transitions.

Fellows receive flexible bridge funding, professional development, and networking opportunities to help sustain research momentum and foster interdisciplinary collaboration across physics, chemistry, and materials science. The program includes a structured cohort experience with workshops on career planning, grant writing, and faculty preparation, as well as quarterly virtual symposia, in-person networking events, and ACS Premium Membership benefits.

Approximately 30 postdoctoral fellows will be supported each year, selected through an institution-based nomination and expert review process.
