--- ## Description The ACS Student Leadership Award is designed to recognize and develop undergraduate students who have demonstrated leadership within their ACS student chapters. Up to 15 awardees are selected annually to participate in the ACS Leadership Institute, an event that provides leadership development courses, networking opportunities with ACS leaders, and resources to enhance professional growth. The award covers all major expenses related to attending the Institute, including registration, travel, lodging, and meals. Awardees may also have the opportunity to serve as a student liaison to the Undergraduate Student Advisory Board, further expanding their leadership experience within the chemistry community. --- ## Due Dates - October 2026 (anticipated/projected application deadline) *All dates are projected based on the annual cycle; check the program page for updates.* --- ## Funding Amount - The award covers: - Registration fees for the ACS Leadership Institute - Transportation to and from the event - Lodging and meals during the Institute - Up to 15 undergraduate students are selected each year. --- ## Eligibility Applicants must meet all of the following criteria: - Have completed more than one year toward an undergraduate degree in the chemical sciences. - Be graduating in Spring 2027 or later. - Be a current ACS undergraduate student member. - Be a current or past officer of an active ACS Student Chapter or International Student Chapter. --- ## Application Process Applicants are required to submit: - Contact information, ACS member number, expected graduation date, and details of the officer position held in the student chapter. - Student chapter information, including institution name, faculty advisor contact information, and advisor approval of the application.
