Summary: Supports research on advanced post-quantum cryptographic schemes and high-assurance software tools for secure digital wallets, eIDs, and related applications.
Key Information: Participation is restricted to legal entities in EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries, not controlled by non-eligible countries.
This Horizon Europe call funds research and innovation actions (RIA) to develop advanced cryptographic solutions, particularly quantum-resistant primitives and protocols, tailored for digital wallets, eIDs, and civil security applications. The scope includes the design and implementation of post-quantum cryptographic (PQC) schemes, secure entity authentication, and key establishment over insecure networks, as well as the development of high-assurance cryptographic software (HACS) and formal verification tools. Projects should focus on open-source, reusable software libraries, formal specification languages, and methodologies to provide machine-checked guarantees of correctness and security in cryptographic implementations.
