The Bureau of Arms Control and Nonproliferation’s Office of the Nonproliferation and Disarmament Fund (ACN/NDF) invites proposals for cooperative projects that foster U.S.-Türkiye collaboration in the development, procurement, deployment, and operation of civil nuclear energy infrastructure. The program aims to counter proliferation and security risks associated with Türkiye’s selection of non-U.S. reactors and supply chains, and to address potential Turkish interest in nuclear partnerships with non-U.S. companies. Projects should focus on two main lines of effort: (1) facilitating exchanges on civil nuclear regulatory and licensing best practices, and (2) developing and advising on civil nuclear financing options. Applicants are encouraged to propose comprehensive, adaptable activities that directly support Türkiye’s nuclear energy program objectives and strengthen nonproliferation outcomes.
