--- ## Description This grant supports research advancing integrated scenarios, predictive models, and model intercomparison experiments to forecast how natural ecosystems respond to diverse human-induced interactions—including climate change, pollution, and socio-economic transitions. The focus is on creating a robust, European integrated prediction and scenario framework that links ecosystem functions with key economic sectors (e.g., agriculture, fisheries) and tests their resilience under multiple plausible futures. Projects should leverage long-term monitoring, quantify uncertainties, incorporate feedback loops between ecosystems and socio-economic systems, and address knowledge gaps identified by international bodies such as IPBES and IPCC. Proposals must include case studies covering at least two European biogeographic regions, involve stakeholders in co-creating scenarios, and explicitly consider socio-economic transitions, equity, and justice.
