Description
This funding opportunity aims to strengthen the capacity of Ukrainian independent media organizations to produce high-quality, data-driven, and AI-enabled investigative journalism. The program focuses on building skills in investigative reporting, data journalism, artificial intelligence, open-source research, cybersecurity, and the responsible use of emerging technologies. Special emphasis is placed on supporting regional and frontline media, helping them offset wartime staffing shortages and improve coverage of local economic development and recovery. By fostering the adoption of U.S.-developed AI technologies and best practices, the program also seeks to enhance transparency, accountability, and resilience against foreign malign influence, contributing to Ukraine’s democratic resilience and economic transformation.
