Description
This program provides tailored support to Colorado alternative education campuses (AECs) and online schools aiming to prioritize and implement school improvement strategies. The process includes a self-assessment using CDE-developed tools, an on-site diagnostic review by CDE staff and a peer school leader, formal reporting with prioritized recommendations, and structured follow-up for implementation planning. Schools also have opportunities to connect with peers for sharing effective practices. The framework is grounded in national research and adapted for the alternative and online school context, focusing on leadership, instructional transformation, culture, and stakeholder engagement.
