The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) invites proposals from eligible CESU partners for research aimed at building an authoritative knowledge infrastructure for the Geospatial Artificial Intelligence (GeoAI) Application. The funded project will deploy agentic (AI-driven) technology to enhance the Intelligent National Map (INM), enabling natural language queries across authoritative geospatial datasets and delivering actionable insights in diverse formats such as reports, analyses, and charts. The research aligns with multiple federal priorities, including AI integration, national geospatial data accuracy, disaster response, and resource management. The project is intended to strengthen the scientific integrity and operational use of AI-enabled geospatial analytics within federal programs.
