The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) offers a cooperative agreement opportunity for an affiliated partner of the Great Lakes-Northern Forest Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU). The funded research will develop authoritative knowledge infrastructure for the GeoAI: Application, deploying agentic technology to support the Intelligent National Map (INM). The project aims to advance natural language query capabilities, enable integration across diverse authoritative geospatial datasets, and provide actionable outputs (reports, analyses, charts) in response to user queries. The work supports multiple federal priorities, including geospatial AI, elevation data quality, hazard analysis, and resource management, aligning with several recent Executive Orders.
