Description
The Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) administers AGRI Works as part of the Agricultural Growth, Research, and Innovation Program. Established by the Minnesota Legislature, AGRI Works funds organizations providing regional or statewide services that promote agriculture, horticulture, and rural communities. Supported work includes development, education, research, and marketing, such as research addressing rural community needs and outreach or education for farmers and horticultural growers.
The FY 2027 competition prioritizes legislatively created entities and projects that are not eligible for other MDA grants. Projects led by, impacting, or serving Native American Tribal communities are encouraged. The program seeks realistic objectives, measurable outcomes, organizational capacity, community support, and well-developed work plans and budgets.
