Description
The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food & Forestry administers the Agriculture Enhancement and Diversification Program to develop or improve uses for agricultural products, expand value-added production, and encourage diversified farming. Proposals must show how they will directly benefit Oklahoma farmers and ranchers by creating new revenue streams.
Currently, the program accepts only viticulture and enology projects. These may address grape production and vineyard operations; wine production, processing, and value-added activities; or research, development, and marketing tied to the grape and wine industries. Other agricultural project types are on hold. The department considers prospects for jobs and wealth creation, technical and commercial feasibility, timely implementation, and commercialization, with a preference for rural Oklahoma.
