Description
This funding opportunity from the U.S. Mission to Indonesia seeks proposals for a comprehensive program to strengthen U.S.-Indonesia partnerships in artificial intelligence (AI) education, research, and innovation. The initiative consists of two main components: (1) a multi-day AI Pathways Workshop in Fall 2026, bringing together U.S. and Indonesian higher education institutions, technology companies, and alumni to discuss AI career pathways and institutional development; and (2) a five-month AI Innovation Mentorship Challenge, where U.S. professors mentor Indonesian professors and students to develop AI-powered solutions to Jakarta’s infrastructure challenges. The program aims to foster long-term collaborations, increase Indonesian student engagement with U.S. AI opportunities, and develop practical AI applications for urban challenges.
