This program aims to enhance the capacity of Alaska Native-serving and Native Hawaiian-serving institutions of higher education to deliver high-quality education, applied research, and community development projects in the broadly defined area of food, agriculture, natural resources, and human sciences (FANH). Funded projects may include curriculum development, faculty and student development, applied research, extension, and integrated activities that advance institutional and student success in FANH fields. The program encourages collaborative projects, leadership development, and initiatives that address local, regional, or national needs and priorities, with a strong emphasis on student recruitment, retention, and experiential learning.
