The Alex J. Ettl Grant is an annual prize sponsored by the National Sculpture Society for a figurative or realist sculptor who has demonstrated a commitment to sculpting and outstanding ability. The award recognizes an established sculptural practice through a mature body of work, rather than a proposed research study or a specified new project.
Sculpture in any media may be submitted, but work created in workshop or instructional settings is excluded. A jury of three prominent sculptors selects the recipient based on artistic ability and sustained commitment reflected in the work. The next award will be made in June 2027.
