The program is open to all academic and professional fields, with projects ranging from undergraduate or graduate teaching and curriculum development to artistic residencies, public lectures, mentoring, and collaborative research or professional activities. The program aims to foster mutual understanding and strengthen academic, professional, and cultural ties between the United States and Lithuania. Integration into the host academic and local community is emphasized, and scholars are encouraged to participate in community engagement activities.
The grant allows for flexible arrangements, including the Flex option, which enables multiple short-term visits over two years. English serves as the primary language for teaching and most activities, and scholars may propose their own host institution and project.
