This award supports U.S. academics and professionals to teach, conduct research, or combine both activities at the University of Malta. Projects are welcomed from all disciplines, including arts, sciences, engineering, medicine, public administration, and more. Scholars may teach undergraduate or graduate courses, advise on curriculum development, participate in departmental activities, mentor students, and are encouraged to engage with the host academic and local community. The program aims to foster international collaboration, strengthen ties between the U.S. and Malta, and promote mutual understanding.
The award supports both traditional (single continuous stay) and Flex (multiple short-term stays over up to two years) arrangements. Scholars are expected to participate in public talks, embassy events, and networking opportunities.
