    Description

    This Fulbright Scholar Award enables U.S. academics and professionals to teach undergraduate or graduate courses and, optionally, conduct research at universities in Dili, Timor-Leste. The program aims to strengthen academic exchange, foster international collaboration, and enhance mutual understanding between the U.S. and Timor-Leste. Scholars may design their own teaching and research activities, with teaching comprising at least half of the project for teaching/research awards. Preferred disciplines include law, engineering, livestock/fisheries, economics, English, arts/industrial creativity, and STEAM fields. Additional activities may include curriculum development, mentoring, public talks, and engagement with the host academic community. Scholars may propose their own host institution and are encouraged to participate in regional activities through the Fulbright East Asia Pacific Regional Travel Program.
