This award enables U.S. scholars, artists, and professionals to teach, conduct research, or implement professional projects at higher education institutions or organizations throughout Tunisia. Applicants may propose activities in any academic or professional field, including combinations of teaching and research, full-time research, teaching, or professional/creative projects. The program aims to foster academic exchange, professional collaboration, and mutual understanding between the U.S. and Tunisia.
Scholars are encouraged to engage with the host community through mentoring, curriculum development, public lectures, and collaborative activities. Projects can be conducted at universities or organizations in a wide range of locations in Tunisia, with recent placements in Tunis, Sousse, Kairouan, Gabes, and Beja. The award offers flexibility through the "Flex" option, permitting multiple short-term stays over two years for eligible projects.
