The CHAI Pilot Awards, administered by the Robert N. Butler Columbia Aging Center as part of the Columbia Healthy Aging Initiative (CHAI), are designed to foster innovation in the measurement of healthy aging. These pilot grants aim to support the development or validation of novel approaches to measuring healthy aging, enabling the next generation of cohort studies to better understand the etiology and progression of healthy aging. Proposals may focus on new metrics, survey instruments, psychometric tools, physical or cognitive performance tests, biochemical assays, composite indices, or improved methods for data or biospecimen collection.
