The Robert N. Butler Columbia Aging Center (CAC), through the Columbia Healthy Aging Initiative (CHAI), offers pilot awards to encourage innovation in measurement science for healthy aging research. The grant is designed to support the development and validation of novel measurement approaches, including new survey scales, psychometric assessments, physical and cognitive performance tests, biochemical assays, composite indices, and advanced methods for data or biospecimen collection. The ultimate aim is to inform and enhance future cohort studies to better understand the etiology and progression of healthy aging. Proposals from any scientific discipline within the Columbia University community are welcome.
