    Description

This funding opportunity supports the implementation of innovative, alumni-led projects that leverage the expertise and networks of U.S. government-funded or sponsored exchange program alumni in Nepal. The program aims to strengthen alumni networks, promote cross-sector and cross-border collaboration, and deepen engagement between alumni and the U.S. government. Projects must directly advance U.S. administration priorities, such as expanding U.S.–Nepal commercial ties, promoting free speech, showcasing American best practices, and delivering practical solutions in key sectors.

Projects should align with the “Freedom 250” spirit, celebrating the United States’ legacy of innovation and entrepreneurship. Proposals are expected to demonstrate how alumni act as catalysts for innovation, drivers of economic growth, and key partners in building U.S.–Nepal commercial and institutional partnerships.

Competitive proposals will address at least one of the following pillars:

    • Innovate: Apply U.S.-driven solutions and expertise to local challenges in Nepal.
    • Inspire: Showcase American leadership, values, and best practices.
    • Ignite: Strengthen U.S.–Nepal commercial and institutional partnerships.

All projects must include at least one of:

    • Convening alumni from different programs to build or expand networks.
    • Strengthening alumni-U.S. government collaboration.
    • Supporting alumni leadership and community impact.
