Description
This program funds pilot research projects led by alumni or current scholars of the AI-BOND (African Initiative for Bioinformatics Online Training in Neurodegenerative Diseases) program. The goal is to enhance data analysis capacity in Africa related to brain health, Alzheimer’s disease, and other neurodegenerative conditions through bioinformatics-driven secondary data analysis. Projects should leverage African data sets or address Africa-specific research questions. The initiative is a collaboration between the Alzheimer’s Association and the AI-BOND program, aiming to foster African scientific leadership in neurodegenerative disease research.
