    Description

This program funds the development and implementation of innovative, evidence-based seminars for educators or students, focused on American history, civics, government, and geography. The seminars must commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States and promote a deeper understanding of the nation's founding principles, constitutional heritage, and ongoing development. Projects should aim to improve teaching and learning outcomes in elementary and secondary education, with an emphasis on innovation, scalability, accountability, and reaching underserved populations.

    The initiative prioritizes projects that:

    • Directly commemorate the Semiquincentennial (250th anniversary) of the U.S.
    • Focus on American political traditions, foundational documents (Declaration of Independence, Constitution, Bill of Rights), and their evolution.
    • Offer professional development or educational programs with measurable impact on knowledge and teaching quality.
    • Demonstrate a rationale and evidence base for their approach.

Priority is given to applications from institutions of higher education with established academic units dedicated to civic thought, constitutional studies, American history, leadership, or economic liberty.
