This opportunity, offered by the U.S. Mission to Zimbabwe through its Public Diplomacy Section, seeks a qualified Zimbabwean not-for-profit organization to provide administrative and programmatic support for the American Corner Gweru. The selected organization will be responsible for managing and implementing a range of public diplomacy activities at the American Corner, a collaborative space run by the U.S. Embassy and the Gweru Memorial Public Library.
All proposed activities must incorporate an American cultural component and demonstrate clear connections to American experts, organizations, or institutions. The program's focus includes technology access, entrepreneurship training, innovation events, sports activities, and other cultural programs that reflect American values and support U.S. foreign policy objectives in Zimbabwe. The overarching goal is to strengthen U.S.–Zimbabwe relations by promoting responsible innovation, civic engagement, and a deeper understanding of American society among Zimbabwean audiences.
Project activities must take place in Zimbabwe and be directed at Zimbabwean participants. The U.S. Embassy will play an active role in program oversight and implementation through a cooperative agreement.
