Description
Campus Compact, in partnership with AmeriCorps, offers programs that mobilize students, graduates, and community members to engage in meaningful service addressing pressing social challenges. The two primary programs—AmeriCorps VISTA and Campus Compact EnviroCorps—place AmeriCorps members at colleges, universities, and with their community partners for year-long terms. Members build the capacity of host sites to address issues such as poverty, education access, food security, housing, workforce development, and environmental stewardship. The initiative strengthens the public purpose of higher education and fosters civic engagement through hands-on service and capacity-building projects.
