Description
Campus Compact’s partnership with AmeriCorps engages students, recent graduates, and community members in service that strengthens colleges and community partners, builds democracy, and alleviates poverty. Its VISTA program places AmeriCorps members at colleges, universities, and partner organizations for year-long terms. Members work behind the scenes on resource development, volunteer recruitment, research, curriculum development, evaluation, systems development, and partnership building to expand programs serving low-income people.
Campus Compact EnviroCorps supports campus-based, community-led environmental stewardship across the United States. Teams work with higher education institutions and their partners on energy-efficiency interventions, nature conservation projects, and environmental education. The program aims to improve household energy efficiency, cost savings, and comfort, strengthen environmental health, and develop members’ skills and workforce pathways. Campus Compact administers VISTA grants, compliance, reporting, training, and member support.
