The AATS Foundation Aortic Training Program provides early-career cardiothoracic surgeons with an immersive, hands-on experience in advanced aortic surgery at DeltaHealth Hospital in Shanghai, China, under the mentorship of Dr. Li-Zhong Sun. Participants will join a multidisciplinary cardiovascular team, gaining exposure to complex thoracic and abdominal aortic disease management, including observation and performance of procedures such as aortic root replacement, arch replacement, frozen elephant trunk, thoracoabdominal aneurysm repair, endovascular repairs, and advanced aortic valve interventions. The program emphasizes collaborative care and contemporary surgical strategies in a high-volume, internationally recognized referral center.
