The CASJE Applied Research Fellowship is a two-year, cohort-based postdoctoral training program designed to prepare scholars for high-quality applied research addressing the needs of Jewish educational and communal organizations in the United States. Housed at George Washington University’s Graduate School of Education and Human Development, the fellowship provides advanced training, mentorship from distinguished faculty, professional development, and opportunities for fellows to conduct original research projects in partnership with Jewish community-based organizations. The program aims to expand the pool of researchers equipped to tackle critical questions in Jewish education and contemporary Jewish life, increase diversity among scholars, and incentivize those from adjacent fields to engage with Jewish educational research. Fellows benefit from bimonthly virtual meetings, an invited speaker series, annual in-person workshops, and tailored skill development opportunities.
