This grant supports undergraduate and graduate students from the University of Alaska system (UAF, UAA, or UAS) who are presenting Quaternary-related research at national or international conferences. The funding can be used for both in-person and virtual meeting costs, including travel, lodging, per diem, registration, abstract fees, and meeting add-ons such as field trips or short courses. Research must be focused on the past two million years of Earth's history (Quaternary period), including fields like geology, archaeology, paleoecology, and paleoceanography. Exceptional cases for other travel types may be considered if there is a strong connection to paleo research. Preference may be given to applicants who have not previously received this grant.
