This call supports the development of innovative, commercially viable services leveraging satellite technologies to address the unique and escalating challenges of the Arctic region—ranging from environmental protection and climate resilience to maritime safety and critical infrastructure security. The initiative is structured around three thematic sub-calls: (1) environmental and economic resilience, (2) safety, navigation, and operations, and (3) security and critical protection. Projects should demonstrate user engagement, technical feasibility, and clear added value of space assets (Earth observation, satellite communications, GNSS). The program is part of ESA's Business Applications and Space Solutions (BASS) under the ACCESS initiative, aiming to accelerate the transformation of ideas into market-ready solutions for the Arctic’s complex and rapidly changing landscape.
