Summary: Supports innovative postdoctoral research in fundamental chemistry or chemical instrumentation to help scientists transition to independent research careers.
Key Information: Applicants must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or DACA recipients with ≤18 months postdoc experience by the deadline.
This fellowship supports postdoctoral scholars conducting advanced research in either fundamental chemical sciences or the development and construction of new chemical instrumentation. The program is designed to catalyze the transition from mentored, yet independent, postdoctoral work to outstanding, independent research careers in academia, industry, or government labs. Applicants may pursue one of two tracks:
Projects must be chemistry-focused but may have interdisciplinary applications (e.g., biology, physics). The program emphasizes innovation, technical advancement, and the potential for broad scientific impact.
