Description
The Art-in-Ed Artist’s Book Residency Grant offered by Women's Studio Workshop (WSW) is designed for two artists annually to create a new, limited-edition artist’s book while engaging with local youth through arts education. Residents first focus on producing a hand-printed and bound artist’s book in WSW’s well-equipped studios, benefiting from technical guidance, collaborative production support, and access to specialized equipment. During the latter part of the residency, artists teach printmaking, papermaking, and book arts to students from the Kingston City School District, providing hands-on learning experiences in a professional studio environment. The program integrates professional artistic practice with meaningful community involvement.
