Description
The Art-in-Education Artist’s Book Residency Grant is an annual opportunity offered by Women's Studio Workshop (WSW) for two artists to create a new, limited edition artist’s book while engaging with young people through teaching in the WSW studios and local schools. The residency is structured in two phases: the first month focuses on the artist’s own creative production, with full access to WSW’s printmaking, papermaking, and book arts facilities and technical support. The second phase involves teaching printmaking, papermaking, and book arts to students, typically one to two days per week for three to four weeks, plus two in-school visits. The program emphasizes both immersive studio time and meaningful arts education outreach, supporting artists’ professional development in a collaborative and supportive environment.
