The Arts and Humanities Exploration Research Grants, administered by New York University's Center for the Humanities in partnership with the Office of the Vice Provost for Research, are designed to foster innovative and impactful scholarship and creative practices in the arts and humanities. This internal funding opportunity enables NYU faculty to pursue new ideas, develop interdisciplinary collaborations, and disseminate significant scholarly, artistic, or creative work at any stage of project development. The program encourages projects that address societal challenges, engage public audiences, strengthen proposals for external funding, or enhance the intellectual vitality of the NYU community. Funding may support a wide range of activities, including research planning, archival or field-based work, creative production, publication costs, and community partnership development.
