    Description

The McKnight Foundation's Arts & Culture program funds organizations, groups, and Tribal Nations that provide support structures for Minnesota’s working artists and culture bearers. The program aims to empower creative leaders, foster community engagement, and advance diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the arts sector. Funding can support general operations or specific projects that strengthen the ecosystem for artists and culture bearers, with a focus on training, professional development, advocacy, material support, market development, networks, and information sharing. The initiative prioritizes organizations advancing justice, supporting underrepresented artists and institutions (including those in rural, Tribal, and BIPOC communities), and cultivating meaningful partnerships.
