This grant opportunity is designed to help organizations expand their capacity and efficiency in adopting out retired Thoroughbred racehorses. Funding supports projects that increase the number of horses rehabilitated and adopted, decrease length of stay, reduce costs of care, and improve humane outcomes. Eligible activities include training programs, adopter engagement initiatives, innovative medical rehabilitation, and collaborations with equine industry partners. Both new and expanded programs are welcome, particularly those testing new ideas or models for improving outcomes for retired racehorses.
