Supports implementation of assisted outpatient treatment programs for adults with serious mental illness through cooperative agreements with eligible local and state authorities.

--- ## Description This program facilitates the implementation of Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) for adults with serious mental illness (SMI). Awardees are expected to develop and operate AOT programs in collaboration with civil courts, community partners, and other local entities to provide community-based treatment for adults with SMI who meet AOT criteria. The initiative aims to improve outcomes by ensuring that high-need individuals receive coordinated, court-ordered outpatient services. --- ## Due Dates - Application due: April 20, 2026 --- ## Funding Amount - **Award Size:** Up to $750,000 per year for programs serving more than 50 patients; up to $500,000 per year for programs serving 50 patients or fewer (total costs, direct and indirect). - **Project Duration:** Up to 5 years. - **Estimated Number of Awards:** 11–16. - **Total Available Funding:** $10,000,000. - **Cost Sharing/Match:** Not required.
