--- ## Description The Australia Fellowship Program, funded by the Moderna Foundation, provides support for Australian researchers working across a spectrum of biomedical and translational science fields. The fellowship targets projects in mRNA platform innovation, RNA sciences, lipid nanoparticle (LNP) technology, biomarker research, infectious diseases, immunology, translational and quantitative pharmacology, early clinical development, data science, real-world evidence, artificial intelligence in R&D, and regulatory science. The aim is to accelerate advances from early discovery through to early clinical development, with a focus on both fundamental and applied research. --- ## Due Dates - June 30, 2024: Application portal closes / Full application deadline --- ## Funding Amount - Salary costs: Up to AU$110,000 per year - Research expenses: Up to AU$140,000 per year - Duration: 2 years maximum - Total potential funding: Up to AU$500,000 per awardee over two years --- ## Eligibility - Applicants must be Australian researchers. - Research must fall within the targeted areas: mRNA/RNA sciences, LNP technology, biomarker research, infectious diseases, immunology, pharmacology, early clinical development, data science, AI in R&D, or regulatory science. - Open to individuals or teams; a supervisor is required. - Host institution must be based in Australia. --- ## Application Process - Applications are submitted through the [iEnvision portal](https://moderna.envisionpharma.com/ienv_moderna/visiontracker/portal/login.xhtml?pgm=FE&windowId=204). - Register for an account or log in to access the application. - Complete all required sections: program details, personnel, applicant/payee information, budget, fellowship details, and supporting materials. - Salary and research expenses must be detailed in the budget section (either entered directly or via an Excel template). - Attach all required supporting materials and CVs. - Submit the completed application by the deadline.
