The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Office of Policy Development and Research (PD&R) anticipates releasing a Notice inviting eligible organizations to submit unsolicited research proposals that address HUD’s current housing and community development research priorities. The program supports independent, high-quality research that builds reliable evidence and provides actionable insights for housing policy and program decisions at local, state, and federal levels.
Projects must be original, independently developed, and use robust research methodologies consistent with the principles of Gold Standard Science. HUD expects to prioritize research on topics such as:
