Summary: Supports innovative, high-risk research by early-career faculty in the chemical and life sciences to foster new methods, instruments, or materials.
The Beckman Young Investigator Program provides substantial research support to early-career faculty in the chemical and life sciences who are pursuing bold, high-risk projects that diverge from current research directions. The program is designed to enable the invention of new methods, instruments, or materials with the potential to open new avenues of scientific inquiry, especially those that cross traditional disciplinary boundaries. The Foundation values diversity and inclusion and emphasizes a blind review process to minimize bias. Projects already receiving substantial external funding or that focus on clinical research are not eligible.
