This program funds collaborative, regional, or state-based networks and partnerships to deliver education, outreach, and technical assistance to beginning farmers and ranchers (defined as those who have operated a farm or ranch for 10 years or less) in the United States and its territories. The goal is to equip new producers with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to make informed decisions and enhance the sustainability and success of their agricultural operations. Funded projects may address a broad range of priorities, including production practices, business and financial management, succession planning, risk management, marketing, natural resource management, and specialized support for veterans and limited-resource farmers.
