This programme aims to nurture the next generation of Black leaders in cancer research by providing a fully funded, four-year non-clinical PhD studentship at one of several leading UK research centres. Developed in partnership with Black in Cancer and the Windsor Fellowship, the scheme offers comprehensive academic and pastoral mentorship, a structured leadership programme, and a suite of career development resources. Scholars benefit from tailored training, networking opportunities, and a supportive cohort environment, all designed to build skills, resilience, and professional networks for a successful research career. Up to nine scholarships are expected to be available for the 2026–2027 cycle.
