Description
This opportunity funds the development of a 60% design for a wetland project along the San Juan River, south of Bluff, Utah. The effort is part of the San Juan River Basin Endangered Fish Recovery Program, which focuses on recovering endangered species such as the Colorado pikeminnow and razorback sucker. The primary goal is to address the lack of rearing habitat for razorback sucker larvae—a key limiting factor for species recovery—by advancing a previously completed 30% conceptual design to a more detailed 60% design phase. The wetland will serve to entrain and rear larval razorback sucker, providing a critical non-flow alternative to support recruitment and long-term population stability.
