Description
The Boating Infrastructure Grant Program provides funding to construct, renovate, or maintain transient mooring facilities specifically for large, non-trailerable recreational vessels (26 feet or longer) on federally navigable waters. Facilities must serve transient boaters—those staying for 15 or fewer consecutive days—and be open to the public. The program supports two tiers of projects: Tier I (statewide, up to $300,000) and Tier II (nationally competitive, up to $1,500,000). Projects require a minimum 25% non-federal match and are reimbursed for up to 75% of eligible costs.
