Description
This program, jointly funded by the Lundbeck Foundation and Novo Nordisk Foundation, supports ambitious, collaborative research projects that advance mechanistic understanding of interactions between the brain and periphery in health and disease. The focus is on bridging neuroscience and cardiometabolic research, integrating fields such as metabolism, endocrinology, physiology, neurology, psychiatry, medicine, epidemiology, immunology, and nutrition. Projects should address critical knowledge gaps and aim to improve diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and understanding of interconnected cardiometabolic and nervous system disorders.
