    Description

    This funding opportunity, administered by the Centers for Disease Control-GHC, aims to provide targeted strategic assistance to the Government of Botswana (GOB) to strengthen national health security and data systems. The program focuses on improving governance, building sustainable data management capacity, and enhancing system functionality, interoperability, and data use across the health sector.

    Awardees are expected to:

    • Transfer skills and management of technology systems to the GOB for operation, maintenance, and use of facility, community, and national data systems (including both paper and electronic records) essential for managing patients and monitoring HIV and TB programs.
    • Enhance the GOB’s capacity to operate, maintain, and secure health information systems, and analyze and report on strategic information.
    • Strengthen the GOB’s ability to surveil, respond to, and control public health events and disease outbreaks at all administrative levels.
