Description
The Advancing Pedology Award, administered by the Soil Science Society of America (SSSA), honors individuals who have made significant, recent contributions to the field of pedology. The award is intended to recognize a single, well-defined achievement—such as the development of new methods, discovery of important mechanisms, or application of pedological knowledge to longstanding problems—that advances the understanding of soil formation, classification, or mapping. The contribution must be documented in a peer-reviewed publication within the past five years. Recipients are expected to present their work at the Advancing Pedology Colloquium during the ASA-CSSA-SSSA International Annual Meeting.
