Description
This program funds projects aimed at controlling and preventing the spread of the invasive Brown Treesnake (BTS), with a focus on Guam and other Pacific islands at risk. Supported activities include interdiction programs to prevent BTS spread, landscape-scale suppression on Guam, early detection and rapid response initiatives, outreach and education, and the development of new tools or technologies for BTS control. The program's overarching goals are to reduce ecological and economic harm, avoid electrical outages, and ultimately work toward BTS eradication.
