This grant program, administered by the Hudson River Foundation in partnership with the NY-NJ Harbor & Estuary Program (HEP), supports projects that enhance community resilience to extreme weather events—including hurricanes, droughts, sea level rise, and altered precipitation patterns—within the Hudson River and NY-NJ Harbor region. Funded projects are expected to reduce coastal erosion and flooding, improve stormwater and cloudburst management, and implement green infrastructure and nature-based resiliency features. Co-benefits such as improved water quality, enhanced habitat, and greater public access are strongly encouraged, aligning with HEP’s 2025–2035 Action Agenda.
