Description
This grant opportunity, administered by the Public Diplomacy Sections of the U.S. Consulates General in Tijuana, Nogales, and Hermosillo, seeks proposals for projects that build practical skills and foster innovation among educators, youth, and media professionals in northwest Mexico. The program aims to advance U.S. policy priorities by supporting economic development, safer communities, and transparent information ecosystems. Applicants must design programs that address one of four objectives: improving English language teaching, advancing STEM education, promoting youth development through sports diplomacy, or strengthening journalists’ capacity to use AI and digital tools responsibly.
Projects should demonstrate strong U.S. institutional partnerships, measurable outcomes, and sustainability beyond the grant period. Activities may include hands-on training, curriculum development, workshops, or mentorship programs, with a clear focus on the binational context and the needs of the target region (Baja California, Baja California Sur, Sonora, and Sinaloa).
